Water-resistant — rated ●●◐, just below our Mat. Light spills and splashes bead up and wipe away if caught quickly. Won't hold up against heavy or prolonged liquid exposure. For heavier protection, layer a waterproof liner underneath or use the Magic Sofa Mat (rated ●●●) on the seat area.

The Blanket fabric is soft and beautiful but can snag from pet nails — especially cats. Sophie Plush has the densest pile and holds up best. Open-knit styles (Luca Knit, Ella Breeze) are more vulnerable to active claws. For dogs that just lay on it, all styles work well. If pet claw durability is top priority, our Magic Sofa Covers in Classic fabric are more resilient.

The Blanket drapes over your entire sofa in one piece — arms, back, and seats. Think of the Cover as the tailored option, the Mat as the targeted protector, and the Blanket as the full-coverage solution.

Measure your sofa arm to arm (width) and from top of back to front of seat (depth). Choose the size that covers those dimensions with extra to tuck in. Pay close attention to depth — a common issue is the Blanket being long enough but not deep enough front-to-back. When in doubt, size up.

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or air dry flat. No hot water, no high heat. Washes up nicely on cold/low settings.
