The Mat is the better choice if your cushions are attached or non-removable, if you want to move protection between furniture pieces, or if you want the simplest setup. Think of the Cover as the tailored option and the Mat as the flexible, go-anywhere option.

The Mat has the highest water resistance in our entire range — rated ●●●. Spills bead on the surface and give you significantly more time to clean up than our covers or blankets. That said, it's water-resistant, not fully waterproof. Large volumes left sitting can still soak through eventually. For most everyday situations, the Mat alone does an excellent job. For absolute protection, layer a waterproof liner underneath.

The rubber-dot anti-slip backing grips fabric and leather surfaces. Most customers report it stays put well, even with pets jumping on and off. On very slick leather, there can be more movement — tuck the edges under the cushion for extra grip. For maximum stay-in-place performance, the fitted Sofa Covers are more secure, but the Mat outperforms any blanket or throw.

Depends on the texture. Open-weave patterns (Herringbone) can show thread pulls from active claws quickly. If you have cats, choose Sherpa or Velva — the denser pile resists pulls significantly better. For dogs that simply sit or lay on it, all textures hold up well.

Measure the width and depth of the surface you want to protect. Choose the size that covers that area with extra to tuck in on each side. If you're between sizes, go bigger — you can always tuck excess, but too small won't give full coverage.

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or air dry flat. Avoid hot water and high heat. Most customers wash every few weeks without issues.
